About your baker, Tiffany

My passion for baking stems from my love of cooking, which I learned from my father. I recall countless shared kitchen experiences, from the “you can’t mess this up” jobs for a young child, to the many conversations about how to make my dumplings fluffy or get the gravy right. If you scroll through our text messages, you will find perhaps a single exchange of words for every twenty pictures of the meal we made that day.

Through the years, baking has grown into an integral part of my personality. It provides peace, calm, and comfort when the world around me is in chaos. It is a demonstration of my love for those in my life. Baking is my ultimate joy.

Over the years I have been lucky to have people in my life who support my dream of opening a bakery. From the taste testers willing to try my latest flavor combination, to those who take home packages of goodies so Kevin and I don’t eat them all. Yes, sometimes I bake far more than we can stand to eat. Two specific people however have been on this journey with me for more than a decade, providing emotional, creative and of course, taste bud support.

To Ash, the best friend I could hope to have. Thank you for the encouragement, from the branded Sweet Spot sweatshirt (original bakery name idea) to the monsters in the Purple Pantry. It was you, one day many, many moons ago, who asked for something savory rather than sweet. That resulted in the first ever batch of ‘The OG’ cheesy goodness, which is now a staple in my kitchen.

To Kevin, my love, my husband. You “get” to experience the roller coaster of life with me, which sometimes involves burnt caramel, delicious bagels, the perfectly cooked steak, and the occasional too salty to eat dinner. Your support means more to me than I could ever express with words. It is your hugs that take away the bad things, your smile that takes me back to the moment we met, and your stomach that tastes all the good, bad, and questionable things I make.
